Former Celtic Flop Set for Surprise Bundesliga Move

Former Celtic flip Jonjoe Kenny looks set to quit Everton and make a shock move to the Bundesliga.

The Toffees were keen to keep Jonjoe at the club behind this season but he’s decided to ditch the Premier League to join up with Hertha Berlin.

Currently, another former Celt, Dedryck Boyata is the captain of the German side and he just managed to help the club stave off relegation from the German top flight when they beat Hamburg in a playoff match.

Jonjoe made 21 appearances for Everton last season, as they managed to beat the drop under Frank Lampard.

The 25-year-old was out of contract at the end of the season but chose not to re-sign with the Premier League side. You have to wonder how much money Hertha are spending to get Jonjoe in the door.

During Celtic’s lockdown season where the whole club turned into a disaster, Jonjoe was a huge disappointment. Brought in during the January transfer window, the right-back would be underwhelming and cost Celtic on more than one occasion.
