Ronny Deila is set to leave New York City football club and return to European football.
The Norwegian has enjoyed a successful spell at the club, winning their first major trophy last season in the MLS.
The former Hoops boss is set to become the new manager of Belgian outfit Standard Liege. Belgian journalist Mario Reinoso got the scoop, claiming Liege had sealed an agreement with New York City for the transfer of Ronny Deila.
Ronny has spent two and a half years in New York, but now obviously feels the time is right to head back to Europe.

During his time at Celtic, the manager won two league titles and a League cup. He had great ideas at Celtic but struggled to implement them with the players he had at his disposal. Disruptive influences like Kris Commons meant it was always an uphill struggle for the Norwegian at Celtic.
Brendan Rodgers credited a lot of the good work Ronny implemented behind the scenes back when he took over for the Norwegian – the Irishman swiftly dropping Kris from first team consideration when he came to the club also.
We wish Ronny all the best in his new role.
