Watching from afar, Kieran has gotten to see some of his old teammates and academy stars flourish in a Celtic jersey.
Speaking this week, Kieran praised the effort of his fellow Scotland teammates that are still currently playing for Celtic. During the interview the former Hoops hero mentioned Anthony Ralston’s rise under Ange Postecoglou’s, praises Greg Taylor’s consistency and reveals he still keeps in close touch with Celtic captain Callum McGregor.
“I speak to Callum regularly. I’m so happy for him and how his career’s going.” Kieran told The Scottish Sun.
“He was a natural fit for Celtic captain and the title success has underlined how good a leader he is.
“He’s a top player and an even better guy.”
Kieran continued: “Greg [Taylor] has got qualities I don’t have. I know people compare him with me at Celtic.
“But no player should be compared with another. It’s unfair. Everyone’s got different qualities.
“His consistency for Celtic has been unbelievable.”
On academy bhoy Tony Ralston,, Tierney revealed he was delighted for the big man.
He said: “Tony’s been brilliant and I’m delighted for him.
“He’s another ex-Celtic team-mate and I know how hard he works for what he gets.
