The celebrations have been amazing, the confetti has been cleaned up and the Champions of Scotland have gone their separate ways for the summer to get a well earned break.
It leaves us sitting until next month debating among ourselves how Ange gets this club to the next level and who needs to drop out this squad to make way for new faces.
I can’t believe I’m writing this because four months ago I was looking forward to his return, but Christopher Jullien should be moved on this summer.
The Frenchman has not been fancied by Ange Postecoglou at all. We don’t have a clear picture of why that is at the moment, but what’s clear is Chris isn’t in Ange’s plans and even if he was going to be, the defender going public with his disgruntlement won’t have gone down well.
Before the Motherwell game, Chris went on record as saying he was asking for 90 minutes against The Steelmen and if he wasn’t going to get game time then he must consider his future. [RecordSport]
He was nowhere near the squad on title day but was in the stadium, doing a lap with the players in a very subdued manner.

Chris was a brilliant signing for Neil Lennon and when his knee collided with the post during pandemic football it set his Celtic career back so much. By the time he got up and running, Ange had his preferred two in CCV and Carl Starfelt. Celtic academy player Stephen Welsh was preferred on the bench to Chris and Nir Bitton also got the nod because he could fill either centre back or centre mid depending.
There’s an argument there will be more opportunities for Chris next season. CCV isn’t secured as of yet and Bitton has left the building.
SalarySport have Chris getting paid £20kpw – if Ange doesn’t see Chris being pivotal to this team, the club must look to offload the defender to make way for players Ange is excited about.
Jullien is on the final year of his contract now, the club could still garner a fee for him and get around £1m back in wages per year.
Timing can be everything in football, had Chris been fit back when Ange took over, the Australian would have had no choice but to play him and could’ve warmed to him more.
