Kris Ajer Teases Ex-Ibrox Man

You can take the bhoy out of Celtic but you can’t take Celtic out the bhoy. Kristoffer Ajer left the club back in the summer of 2021 and has had a top season with Brentford in the English Premier League. However, his Celtic days are still very much at the forefront of his mind.

Former Ibrox youngster Nathan Young-Coombes made his debut for Brentford at the weekend. The 19-year-old coming on as an 87th minute sub to make his top flight debut. A memorable moment for the player who decided to get his teammates to sign his shirt post-match to commemorate the feat.

When it got around to Kristoffer Ajer’s turn to sign the jersey, the Norwegian made sure the ex-Ibrox player got a good old Celtic congratulations. The former Hoops defender hit Nathan with a ‘Hail Hail’.

Kris is never too far away from his time at Celtic since leaving. The defender even made the trip to go watch friend and former Celtic teammate Ryan Christie gain promotion with Bournemouth.

Ajer became a man at Celtic, having to work his way from the youth system via a loan deal to Kilmarnock and into the first team. Despite being on the final year of his Celtic contract – the club got a large fee for Kris that went into building a brand new side.
