How many of you forgot Albian Ajeti is still on the books at Celtic?
The striker has not really been seen or talked about much since going off injured in the dead rubber against Real Betis back in early December.
The Hoops striker played a small role at the beginning of the season when Kyogo and Giakoumakis were unfit and unable to play so many games. When Leigh Griffiths was punted to Dundee, Albian was our only fit striker for the beginning of the season.
The Swiss striker did his bit and scored some goals but he never really fit into Ange’s side. However, even though he’s fit, the frontman didn’t get a space on the bench in the absence of Giakoumakis during the Semi-final. It would appear Albian is so far down the pecking order he’s likely kicked his last ball for Celtic.

He was recently on the bench for the game against St Mirren at home but didn’t get onto the pitch.
The Celtic Instagram account was following Kyogo today during a training session and Albian popped into the frame at one point. It reminded me he’s still there so it’s likely many others forgot he could be an option.
The only way I see the striker getting game time from now until the end of the season is if we somehow wrap up the title with two games to spare and there’s an opportunity for fringe players to get a run out.
We’d be surprised to see Ajeti back next season.
