CELTIC have one hand on the league after defeating their rivals 2-1 at Ibrox last Sunday. Goals from Cameron Carter-Vickers and Tom Rogic cancelled our Aaron Ramsey’s third-minute opener.
The result saw Postecoglou’s Celtic stretch their lead at the top to six points. The Hoops are the favourite to march on and lift the title with six games left. The Rangers have to travel to Celtic Park in the split, ging the Bhoys the advantage to stretch their lead at the top even further.
Postecoglou was asked at Friday’s press conference if he’d noticed a spring in anyone’s step this week in Lennoxtown. As per Celtic TV, he responded;
“No, it’s been pretty normal. Maybe I’m not a great barometer of mood or mood swings, mate. I keep to myself. Maybe they’re partying in there, maybe they’ve got disco balls, and they’re dancing around. Unlikely I’d say.
“As I keep saying, what I look at is how we train and how we present ourselves every day as a group of men. When I see them out there, I haven’t seen any change whatsoever.”
Celtic are preparing to host St Johnstone on Saturday. The side is the second bottom of the SPFL, with Celtic clear favourites to take three points of Callum Davidson’s side.
Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi will be involved in the match. The striker has been out with a hamstring injury since Boxing Day, but after he was declared fit for Celtic’s trip to Ibrox, the Japanese forward will ‘100 %’ participate in Saturday’s game.
