Crazy Sunday Decision Nobody is Talking About

CELTIC had their claims for a penalty waved on by Gavin Duncan. Watching replays back, it was a stonewall penalty and most definitely a sending off for the Dundee defender, Vontae Daley-Campbell.

The referee and his officials never had their best game; there is no doubt, but missing this with Duncan’s view is a disgrace.

Callum McGregor floated a cross from a deep area into the box, brilliant ball, by the way. But before Giakoumakis could meet the ball with his head, he was wiped out of play by Daley-Campbell’s elbow. The action could, and probably should, have seen the Dundee defender sent off.

More frustratingly, Dundee’s penalty claim clips are quick to circulate despite this happening in the same game.

When the incident happened, Celtic were 2-1 up. Going two goals clear would have been a game-changer and almost definitely put the match to bed. Instead, the Hoops had a nervy end to the game because of yet another poor refereeing decision and slack defending.
