VASILIS BARKAS has been linked with a move away from Celtic as the transfer window has drawn to a close.
After his representatives were informed to find a move by Celtic, the Swedish side IFK Goteborg have been in negotiations with Celtic and the goalkeeper.
The side has proposed what will be an initial loan with a clause that could see the greek keeper join the side permanently. [Daily Record]
However, a deal will not have to be completed before the deadline for Scottish clubs is passed.
The window in Sweden is open until the 31st of March. This is essentially what we would know as the summer window.

This is great for Celtic, there will be no rush to push the deal over the line tonight meaning the club can negotiate a deal that suits them. Also, Celtic do not need to sign a replacement for the goalie.
The finances have already blocked a move, Celtic will be keen to ensure this does not happen again.
