Earlier in the week, it seemed set that Celtic youngster Adam Montgomery would be spending the remainder of the season with Scottish Championship side Kilmarnock.
With new Rugby Park boss Derek McInnes keen to bolster his side in their push for promotion, it seemed like a good move for the 19-year old in the search of more game time.
However, according to a report from the Herald, the move has stalled in recent days, with Kilmarnock needing to offload players from their squad in order to add new additions to the club.
It will likely be a busy deadline day for McInnes at Killie, being linked with moves for the likes of Scott Allan and Dundee United youngster Declan Glass, whilst attempting to get rid of deadwood.
A loan move for Montgomery would be ideal for the rest of the season in order to gain more experience before returning in the summer, ready for the 2022/23 campaign ahead under Ange Postecoglou.
Hopefully, this is a deal that can be sorted between now and the end of the day in order to allow the left-sided player that opportunity at Rugby Park.
