Former Celtic target Albert Gudmundsson is reportedly set to complete a move to Italian Serie A side Genoa.
The AZ Alkmaar winger was linked with both Celtic and Glasgow rivals Rangers during the winter window, with the 24-year olds contract set to expire in the summer, allowing clubs to speak to Gudmundsson surrounding a potential pre-contract deal.

However, as reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Gudmundsson will now join Serie A side Genoa during the final day of the January transfer window.

Although the winger may have been suggested as a potential January target for Ange Postecoglou’s side, the links to the Iceland internationalist were never really expected to come to anything by the vast majority of the Celtic support.
Ange has got his business done early in the window and appears satisfied by the deals conducted by the club, bringing in Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Yosuke Ideguchi, Johnny Kenny and Matt O’Riley.
Of course, there are still a few hours left in the window for business to be conducted. However, with Ange’s comments in recent days, it would come as more of a surprise to see another addition to the squad.
