Glasgow Derby Pre-Match Switch Up – Have Your Say

CELTIC have traditionally played the Celtic Song as the players walk out onto the pitch on match days, it’s the song fans hear and sing as the bhoys line up, get ready and then do the huddle.

You’ll Never Walk Alone is the preamble before the players emerge from the tunnel. The spine-tingling rendition belted out by the Celtic support into the Glasgow night is always something to behold.

In true Glasgow Derby fashion, everything gets scrutinised, down to the last detail

Some fans believe You’ll Never Walk Alone being belted out as the players make their way onto the pitch makes for an inspiring moment for our players and intimidating for our rivals.

Celtic Supporter Liason Officer John Paul Taylor has revealed a lot of fans seem to be in support of changing it up for the bigger games.

It could also be argued You’ll Never Walk Alone being sung at full pelt while the players sit in their dressing rooms and get prepared for the game can have a similar effect.

Personally, I don’t think it matters too much and can see both points of view.

All that matters is the Celtic fans get into the ground and make the game as intimidating as possible for our rivals.
