Celtic Defender Leaves Glasgow to Complete Deadline Day Move

THE SCOTSMAN have reported Celtic defender, Osaze Urhoghide has flown out to Belgium where he will complete a loan move to Oostende before the deadline on Monday evening.

The former Sheffield Wednesday player has one competitive game to his name for Celtic’s first team to this point. Osaze is too old to play in the Celtic B side in the Lowland league and is not considered a first team squad member just yet.

It’s in the best interests of Celtic and the defender for him to go out and get some much-needed game time.

Celtic have a recent history with Oostende when it comes to loan deals. The Hoops loaned out Jack Hendry to the Belgian club and slapped on a low transfer option on the deal.

It would come back to bite Celtic when Jack would become one of the best defenders in the Belgian top flight. Oostende paid Celtic the money and then promptly sold their player to Club Brugge for a large fee.

Let’s hope no such option exists this time! It’s a big opportunity for Osaze.
