OSAZE URHOGHIDE is said to be holding out for an opportunity to head south of the border on loan, despite being offered the option to head to James McPake’s Dundee. [The Courier]
The defender has only played one competitive game for Celtic since signing in the summer and was in negotiations with Dundee before the potential move stalled, Osaze was hoping to return south of the border.
There’s definitely some credence to the theory Urhoghide has stayed at Celtic knowing this fixture is coming up. The former Sheffield Wednesday man should grab this chance with both hands. Whether he impresses his manager and climbs the pecking order or drum up any potential suitors.
Postecoglou may decide to start the 21-year-old to give him the chance to shine as he did against Real Betis. Playing right-back, it’s hard to break into this current Celtic side. Juranovic looks to have the position nailed down but Ralston’s performances can not be dismissed.
The future most likely holds a spell away from the club, at this stage in his career, the Dutchman needs to get minutes under his belt and as things stand, this is not likely to happen at Celtic.
