“I’m very pleased to get him in. He’s a player who we’ve scouted for quite a while in terms of the football club. I became aware of him when I joined the club in the summer.
“He was one of the ones we were kind of looking at and it didn’t quite work out then.
“I followed his progress through the first half of this season with MK Dons and he’s had a really good season, strong season, and I see some really good football attributes in him that I think will fit in well with what we’re doing here.”
O’Riley has had an impressive start to the season with seven goals and five assists to his name at the halfway mark.
Just 21-years-old, the player still has time to develop and become a top player. MK Dons fans described the deal as a ‘steal’ and his transfer fee would increase by 10 times in just a couple of years.
