Glasgow Derby Full House Looks On – Report

Scottish football clubs have been told by the joint response group to get prepared for crowds to return and it will be business as usual after the winter break.

RecordSport is reporting the news hours after Nicola Sturgeon delivered an update to the country.

The vital part of Sturgeon’s speech was she didn’t announce more restrictions AND didn’t institute the current restrictions for a longer period past January 17th at this point.

We know the situation can change very quickly and while the JRG is reportedly briefing clubs to get ready to open their stadiums, we must be cautious but optimistic.

Being back at the football since the summer has been something every football fan has enjoyed and treasured. Being stuck in our homes watching closed door football was horrible. Glorified training matches took over and nothing was the same.

If the SPFL and SFA are confident beyond the winter break, let’s hope they’re right.

Celtic take on Hibernian on January 17th at Celtic Park. Hopefully there will be clarity on the governments position before then.

The Glasgow Derby is set for the beginning of February and having a full house would be fantastic for the fixture.
