Ange Delivers Positive Transfer Update

Ange Postecoglou has told the Celtic support there’s a ‘measured’ plan in place for the transfer window and the certainty around fixtures after the winter break will help with his plans.

The manager had to navigate choppy waters since coming into the club. There has been so much turn around and injury call-offs the Australian has barely been able to pause to take

Going into January, the right players must come in and by the same token, some players who aren’t in the manager’s plans must move out.

Speaking to Celtic TV ahead of the window, Ange is sending out positive vibes:

“We’ve got a plan in place, obviously now we know there is some certainty around fixtures and when our first game back is, we will come up with a plan where, hopefully, we will get some of our guys who are injured back on the training field which would be great and also bring in a few.

“I don’t think I will ever go through another transfer period like I did when with the first one when we had to bring in 12, that was something unique, I think.

“This time we can be a little more measured, we’ve been working on it a lot longer, so I know what we want.”

The bhoys have been eyeing more transfers from Japan. The J-League is finished for the season meaning it will be easier to get deals done with clubs in Japan,

The manager knows all about the qualities of the players who have been constantly linked with Celtic over the past three months or so, and if Ange is getting this much of a say in transfer dealings it can only be a good thing.

Celtic need to make sure there are no slip ups against St Johnstone on Sunday afternoon so they’re in a better place come January.
