Ange Responds to McKay Exit

Ange Postecoglou has responded to the Dom McKay exit by insinuating it wasn’t the former SRU man who was the catalyst for his move to Celtic.

Ange was questioned about the sudden departure of McKay on Friday and if it was something that effected him given it was Dom who brought him to the club.

Speaking to CelticTV the Australian said:

“We have to be careful with the narrative of who brought me to the club,”

On Dom’s exit, the manager didn’t want to speculate but said he was happy dealing with Michael who he already knows.

“I was surprised as anyone that Dom resigned but I am going to be respectful of him and his family. When people cite personal reasons, there’s reasons for that. Michael Nicholson is now in charge and that’s good because I already know him,”

Ange is a straight shooter and he told Celtic fan media from the beginning that he’ll always be straight with the supporters.

We’ve not heard anything from Ange to believe the contrary. It’s crazy but most Celtic fans will trust Ange before they trust any person in our boardroom.

For the record, CeltsAreHere have been told there has been no family or personal issue involved in Dom McKay’s departure.

The Chief exec looks to have jumped before he was pushed by a board who were not over enamoured by him.

The board have their ideas about the club and they didn’t fit with McKay’s vision.
