Former Defender Completes SPFL Return

Former Celtic defender Efe Ambrose has completed a move to fellow Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone.

The Perth side announced they had completed a deal to bring the Nigerian to McDiarmid Park, who will add to the defence after Saints boss Callum Davidson lost his captain Jason Kerr on deadline day.

Ambrose has now spent time at several SPFL clubs, the first of course being with the Hoops, where he gained quite the unique reputation during his time here.

He has also since played for both Hibernian and Livingston and will now add experience to the young St Johnstone backline.

After being let go and becoming a free agent in the summer, Davidson made his move for the 32-year old who is now potentially in line for his first appearance tomorrow against Rangers.

We haven’t quite seen the back of that backflip celebration quite yet, by the looks of things.
