Barry Anderson of the Scotsman has claimed Celtic are deep in talks for both Josip Juranovic and Giorgos Giakoumakis.
Celtic have had a bid accepted for Croatian right back Juranovic with personal terms now being discussed.
A move for Venlo striker Giakoumakis is further away but talks are ongoing in the hope a deal can be struck for the Greek frontman.
Anderson claims the two deals, if concluded will cost the club around £5.5m
Celtic ready to spend £5m+ on Croatia right-back Josip Juranovic & Greek striker Giorgos Giakoumakis. Juranovic £2.5m fee agreed, Giakoumakis talks ongoing for £3m deal. Both fit Ange Postecoglou's philosophy as described below.#Football #Greece #Croatiahttps://t.co/BGyMvxIwRe

Right back is certainly a priority although Anthony Ralston has elevated some of the urgency by playing very well since the start of the campaign.
The striker situation is a bit more complex. We need Edouard to be shipped out before we bring in another striker, having five men for a position that can only be held by one player doesn’t make sense.
The alternative would be Edouard sticking around and either Leigh or Ajeti making way.
It’s interesting, the Greek striker was the top goalscorer in the Dutch top flight last season even though his side got relegated.
It’s an outlier season because Giakoumakis was never prolific before last term. Celtic should be wary of putting down a decent amount of cash for the frontman unless they’re certain they can the best out of him.
We had top analyst Marc Lambert run the rule over the player on Tuesday evening – you can read his thoughts here.
