Former Celt Enjoys Winning Start To EPL Life

Former Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer enjoyed a winning start to life in the English Premier League with Brentford, getting one over ex team-mate Kieran Tierney in the process.

The defender was put straight in at the deep end, starting in the Bees League season opener against Arsenal as they defeated the Gunners 2-0.

Starting at the right of a back three, the Norweigan didn’t look out of place on the night, playing 71 minutes before being replaced.

Facing up against Kieran Tierney, there was no love lost in competitive action between the two, with the Scottish international being his feisty self and catching Ajer with a slightly late challenge.

Of course, he was facing off against a very blunt Arsenal side who have been struggling for several seasons now, so there will definitely be tougher tests ahead for Ajer as the season progresses.

Usually, some fans like to track the progress of former players as they make a move down south. On several occasions, players have shown how underestimated Celtic, and the Scottish League can be.
