When it comes to how football will look next season – we really can’t give a definitive answer at the moment. We have witnessed major crowds at the Euros in the UK and Europe over the past month. Hampden has had a 12k crowd in for games, Murrayfield got 16k for a Rugby match but Celtic and other football clubs have to contend with just 2k for their pre-season home game.
Celtic will welcome Preston to Glasgow on Saturday where 2000 lucky fans will get the opportunity to watch a football match at Celtic for the first time since March 2020.
The club’s hands are tied by the government and while we know the Preston game will only be 2000, Celtic can’t even say with confidence what happens after that.
The Hoops have a qualifier against Midtjylland next week and right now, the club can confirm they have no idea what crowd they will have for the game.
We don't have any approvals at present Sean so will need to wait until we get notification that we can get fans in and how many, I expect we'll know more after the next Scottish Gov update tomorrow

Scotland is supposed to go to Level 0 next week, but Nicola Sturgeon will outline if that’s possible in a Tuesday statement to parliament. Celtic and other football clubs will not get a heads up and will likely find out at the same time as we all do what the numbers can be.
If we do go to level 0 we could see a Hampden type Euro crowd for the first competitive game of the season. If things are pushed back, it might still be just 2000, or none at all.
