Celtic’s €15m Transfer Demand – Report

German publication ‘Kicker’ has claimed Bayer Leverkusen are still interested in bringing in Kristoffer Ajer but believe the club could be priced out of a move for the defender.

Reported by Bulinews.com, it’s claimed Celtic have set the Norwegian’s price at €15m and will not go under it as they look to cash in on their star centre-back.

It’s admirable Celtic are looking to get as much as possible for the player but they are walking a fine line. Given the player’s contract is up at the end of next season and he’s free to talk to club’s in six months times – they risk losing Ajer for nothing if they draw this out too long.

Ajer has maintained he would like the club to get a decent fee for his services to facilitate a rebuild, the divergence in opinion between the two sides is what constitutes a decent fee.

Celtic obviously believe they can get their asking price. There have been reports the club have thrown out to £10m bids in the past week or so [90min].

Dominic McKay will have to be wary we need the money in as soon as possible so we know what we can spend on the squad. Who is going to blink first?
