Celtic academy coach John McLaughlan has departed the club to take up a new role at fellow Scottish Premiership side Hearts.
As reported by Sun Sport, McLaughlan has taken up the role of academy coaching development manager at the Edinburgh side, who are having a shakeup of their own behind the scenes at Tynecastle.
McLaughlan has spent over 15 years at the club, in many different roles taking up his first one all the way back in 2005.
This could be seen as an important season for young players at the club in many ways,
First off, with such a big rebuild on the way and a new manager coming in place, it gives young players a big chance to prove themselves in pre-season.
Also, the Celtic Colts team will be entering the Lowland League next season.
That campaign is set to begin next month, and we are yet to receive full confirmation of who will be in charge of the youngsters.
It is never good to see someone who has been at the club for so long depart. But, McLaughlan must be replaced so that we can continue to develop and nurture the up-and-coming talent through Lennoxtown.
