The reports overnight will be music to Celtic fans ears; the Eddie Howe appointment looks to be at the end game after Bournemouth were sent crashing out of the EPL playoffs at the weekend.
RecordSport have reported overnight the Englishman has instructed the Hoops to go get his coaching team of Stephen Purches, Simon Weatherstone. Interestingly, Eddie’s scouting guru Richard Hughes looks likely to join the club in a scouting capacity but NOT as DoF.
Another very interesting point is former Celtic star Peter Grant has spoken to Eddie about potentially coming on board as a coach.
Grant was part of the failed Tony Mowbray regime over ten years ago when the former player came in as a coach. He could be set for a role under Howe if the Englishman sees value in Grant being at the club.
Eddie is vitally being allowed to bring his own men to the club. It’s something fans have wanted to see after Neil Lennon wasn’t afforded the same opportunity.
