Eddie Howe Update – Club Closing in on Major Coup

Celtic are reportedly closing in on the appointment of Eddie Howe with new reports suggesting that the Englishman is in advanced talks with the club.

According to the Daily Record, Howe is getting closer to being appointed as the next manager of the club as he enters advanced talks after recently turning down two job offers from English Premier League sides.

Over the past day or so, the speculation surrounding Howe has stepped up a gear with it being heavily reported that the club has made contact and even had talks with the former Bournemouth boss.

Now, it looks to have taken a step closer to becoming official as he enters further talks with the Celtic hierarchy to replace Neil Lennon as permanent manager.

Howe would be seen as a real coup by the club with a lot of interest from several clubs south of the border.

With the way the club is looking to move forward, he feels like the ideal target and would be seen as a brilliant appointment by the club as we enter a crucial period of the up-and-coming rebuild.
