It’s officially an end of an era, Celtic are no longer champions of Scotland.
It’s a painful moment for the support and the club but there now has to be action and intent from the decision makers at the club.
A season that offered up history didn’t really get started. It’s not been good enough.
We all know the multitude of reasons why we lost our crown this season, but if this is to be a blip in our otherwise dominance on Scottish football, we must not shy away from the problems at our club.
We need a new direction, a new philosophy and a new manager who will galvanise the support as well as the team.
We need openness, transparency and right now we need our majority shareholder to address the support.
Our next correspondence from Dermot cannot be a template letter sent out to season ticket holders.
Will he be feeling the pain of all the Celtic fans? It’s hard to imagine he is, but if he cares at all, then now is the time to let us know the way forward.
