Major Celtic Injury Boost Confirmed

NEIL LENNON will be able to call on his young defender Stephen Welsh against Aberdeen on Wednesday night it has been confirmed.

Just a week on from what looked like a horrible ankle injury, the player has recovered from soreness and bruising and is now in contention to start against the Dons.

Celtic have not had the best of luck with defensive injuries this term. Christopher Jullien has been out for the majority of the season.

Shane Duffy has not taken to the Scottish game well and has been over error-prone.

Welsh has looked more assured than Shane since coming into the team. Stephen was getting a run of games before the injury against St Mirren kept him out of the St Johnstone game.

Hopefully the Celtic academy star goes right back into the mix and starts to build up real experience ahead of next season.

With not much else to play for, Celtic fans want to see young lads get their chance in the first team.
