It’s has been reported overnight Celtic loan defender Shane Duffy is being offered a route out of Celtic this month but only if Celtic take a financial hit on the deal.
SunSport claim Nottingham Forest have made an official approach to take the player on-loan, knowing his time at Celtic has not been positive to this point.
However, it hinges on Celtic cutting the deal short and taking a loss rather than recouping cash for the player they have contracted until the end of the season.
Celtic are in a defensive crisis, they don’t have many players to spare and even if they would be happy for Shane to go in normal circumstances, these times are certainly not normal.
The bhoys are looking to bring a defender on top of what we have so losing one and not saving cash by doing so just won’t be appealing.
We’re nearly half way through the window and we’ve yet to have a sniff of a signing.
