CELTIC announced not one but two academy players signing new long term deals with the club.
Owen Moffat and Ewan Otoo have earned three-year deals with the club and will now get to work to try and break through into the first team under this current contract.
The double announcement, while welcome, has shone a light on the fact Celtic are in danger of losing one of their top youth academy talents.
Plenty of fans, who were congratulating the pair for their new deals were also asking, what’s happening with Karamoko Dembele?

The winger has had glimpses of the first team and many fans thought this season would be the year where we’d start to see more of the young star. However, Neil Lennon hasn’t used him and the news after lockdown was his fitness was in tatters.
Fast forward to now and Karamoko is in the final six months of his current Celtic deal and is free to talk to any club. This could be the jumping-off point for a player supporters had high hopes for. Karamoko is known very well online as a skilful footballer and one for the future, we’re yet to see that translate into game time and it looks increasingly unlikely the Celtic fans will get to witness his rise if it does happen.
