NEIL LENNON cut a frustrated figure tonight after another humiliating Europa League defeat. When he was asked about his future and if anything has changed with the defeat, Neil Lennon took exception to the line of questioning by Rory Hamilton.
“I don’t know why you’re asking me that when we only touched on it yesterday.” He told BT Sport as cited by RecordSport.
“I don’t see any reason why one game and one day would change that. No.”
There has been a banner outside Celtic Park this week asking Neil Lennon to leave or we’ll lose the ten. There’s growing discontent within the support that the man who has led us to so many titles no longer has what it takes.
Neil Lennon is defiant and believes he can turn this around. Out of Europe with two games to spare and eleven points behind in the league doesn’t paint a favourable picture for the Celtic boss. We have two games in hand but nothing can be taken for granted at the moment.
Confidence in the manager and the players to deliver is at an all-time low, Neil Lennon should be cognizant enough to understand why that line of questioning is being deployed at the very least.
