‘Not Convinced’ – Pundit Unfairly Slams Celtic Player

It’s becoming tiresome and we’re not sure whether he’s being hyper critical of Celtic because he actively believes what he’s saying or if he’s trying to justify his Daily Mail column fee, but Kris Commons continues to be so negative towards his old club.

The former Celtic player who had good seasons and very bad seasons for the hoops seems very quick to criticise and today’s target is new bhoy Vasilis Barkas. Granted the goalkeeper hasn’t had much to do in his games so far – Kris ‘isn’t convinced’ by the goalkeeper and believes Fraser Forster would’ve been the man to keep Celtic in the champions league.

“I’m not convinced at all by Vasilis Barkas.” Commons wrote for MailSport.

“He’s a Greek international goalkeeper, but the jury is still very much out on him.

“Hatem Abd Elhamed took a lot of stick for the second Ferencvaros goal last week, but Barkas wasn’t much better.

“A top goalkeeper – one like Fraser Forster, let’s say – would have saved that all day long”

What point is Kris trying to make, exactly? Celtic did try to bring Fraser back to the club but the goalkeeper snubbed us. We have gone out and got ourselves a replacement who has still to bed in and who we really can’t pass comment on seriously at this point.

Barkas has looked capable and the best is yet to come. For Kris, he’s already writing him off, why? I suppose so he gets attention, mission accomplished I suppose but not all attention is good.
