DAVID TURNBULL has NOT been training with Motherwell ahead of their tie against Glentoran on Thursday night it has emerged.
Ronnie Charters was at the Motherwell pre-match press conference and was told by Stephen Robinson the player hasn’t trained because he’s unsure if David will be in the squad for tomorrow.
This is the biggest indication yet the deal to bring Turnbull to Celtic is nearing completion. If the player has been left out of training and perhaps the squad for the European tie, it will be to make sure he doesn’t pick up an injury ahead of a deal.

Celtic have been pursuing the player since last summer. It was an on-again, off-again deal saga last time around but this year it appears to be straight forward. However, David will still have to go through a Celtic medical which will be extensive to make sure there are no long-lasting issues after his knee surgery and rehab.
Turnbull could be a Celtic player by the time Motherwell come to Glasgow on Sunday.
