Former treble treble star Mikael Lustig has moved on from Gent after just one season. The defender started off well but slowly dwindled away to the point he couldn’t get a game.
The right-back joined Gent because he was offered a long term deal but it wasn’t a match in the end. Mikael has now been announced as an AIK player, returning to his home country.

Mikael spent seven trophy-laden years at Celtic Park before moving on. His final major act as a Celtic player was to set up the winning goal for Odsonne Edouard in the Scottish Cup final to seal the treble treble against Hearts.
He still remains a Celtic fan favourite today and many supporters still keep up with how the defender is doing. He will be able to take his experience from the last ten years and apply it back in his homeland for AIK this season.
