Former Celtic frontman, Scott McDonald has today hit out at the SPFL official twitter account over his own Happy Birthday message.
The Australian striker was left frustrated with this message on his 37th birthday, after the account used a rather unpopular video, when it comes to being associated with Celtic.
This clip was of course McDonald’s famous goal on ‘Black Sunday’, which saw the Hoops lose to League title to rivals Rangers, on the final day of proceedings.
On my birthday you use this as click bait and likes and not for the first year either you have plenty in the archive guys time to dust them off. Thanks for the birthday wishes I guess.

McDonald, who famously admits to being a boyhood Celtic fan was frustrated at the fact he was being used for ‘clickbait’ rather than having genuine birthday wishes sent his way.
He had successful spells at the likes of Dundee United, came out of retirement to play for Partick Thistle and his most famous spell in Scotland came at Celtic. So it is fair to say there are plenty of other clips they could have used of his strikes.
Currently, McDonald plies his trade back in his homeland, Australia with Brisbane Roar. He does also comment on Scottish Football regularly on both twitter and also occasionally on TV or Radio.
