Neil Lennon Confirms Shane Duffy Approach

NEIL LENNON has confirmed the club has made an approach for Shane Duffy after previously refusing to be drawn on speculation.

The Brighton defender is up for grabs this summer and Celtic have made tentative enquiries in an attempt to bring the Irishman to Glasgow.

“We have made tentative enquiries and we’ll see how that goes.” Lennon told OTB Sport.

Celtic are in the market for a strong defender who can allow the team to revert from a back four to a back three whenever Neil Lennon thinks it’s necessary.

So far, the club have signed Moi Elyounoussi, Vasilis Barkas and Albian Ajeti.

Duffy is a Celtic fan and there will be a big part of the player who would love to be part of Celtic’s ten in a row season. If the club can make history, the team which get it over the line will be remembered for years.

The transfer window doesn’t close until the start of October so this could be drawn out
