Major Glasgow Derby Boost for Celtic

The announcement today by the First Minister allowing a limited amount of spectators back into Scottish football has been welcomed and it’s bigger news for Celtic ahead of the first Glasgow Derby game of the season.

The plan at the moment is to allow a limited amount of supporters inside the stadium from September 14 onwards. This will be under constant review but it’s a pivotal step in getting back to the football we know and love.

With the September date the target, Celtic’s game with their Glasgow rivals is scheduled to take place a month later on October 17. If everything goes to plan, there will be a decent Celtic presence at the game BUT as it stands right now, no away fans will be permitted.

With so much at stake this season, having a raucous socially distanced crowed inside the stadium can’t hurt! It could give the players an extra boost on the day and help us onto victory.
