MOUSSA DEMBELE has sent a message to Celtic fans who were chanting his name after he knocked Manchester City out of the Champions League.

The former Celtic striker came on as a second-half substitute for Lyon and showed his lethal touch. scoring a brace and sending his club to the semi-final of the Champions League.

There’s a common theme of former Celtic players hitting the heights in European competition, the winning mentality they develop at Celtic absolutely plays a role in it.

Moussa Dembele is still loved by the majority of the Celtic support for his two seasons in Glasgow. It initially didn’t end well for the player when he left for Lyon under a cloud, but he warned Celtic supporters about Brendan Rodgers loyalty – which was vindicated six months later when Rodgers took part in a backdoor Celtic exit, leaving the club for Leicester.

Since then, the player has even been back to Celtic Park and celebrated a title win with his old teammates on the field.

He again thanks the Celtic fans for thier support.
