Celtic Announce Exciting New Partnership

Celtic have announced an exciting new partnership with the University of the West of Scotland.

The new partnership will see Celtic aid in the development of a generation of young footballing talent coming through the universities doors.

The University has worked with some elite clubs across Europe and continues to deliver high standards of training and education to young minds.

The club want to help with innovative research to enhance development processes within the game.

Professor Craig Mahoney, Principal & Vice-Chancellor of UWS and Chair of British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS), told the Celtic website: “I am delighted that UWS’s sports and exercise science team has been recognised and selected to partner with one of Scotland’s leading football clubs, Celtic FC.

“The impact and importance of sport and exercise is something we promote widely at UWS, not only via our first-class research, but also in our student experience. It is fantastic to see the unique opportunities the partnership will provide our PhD students.”

Celtic continue to strive for the very best for their young athletes. Now, more than ever, Celtic must rely on the next generation of young talent to make their own mark on the first team.
