Good News and Bad News for Celtic Supporters

It has been reported overnight, Celtic are drawing up plans to allow 30k supporters back into the stadium in August after the Scottish Government took some big steps out of lockdown this week.

There is no official word from the government yet, but if we continue to suppress the virus, there will be some relaxing of gatherings of crowds by August.

MailSport claims it all hinges on the 2m rule and when that will be relaxed north of the border. Pubs and shops will be opening in July, events can start to take place with the proper distancing provisions applied.

If Celtic are allowed to fill the stadium to half the capacity, it’s good news and bad news for supporters, some difficult choices will have to be made. With season ticket holders counting for 52k of the overall capacity, there will be some very disappointed supporters if it needs to go to a ballot to determine who gets in.
