Celtic fans have hilariously hijacked a post on social media after someone posted the quote printed on one of the stands at Old Trafford for their first home game with no crowd.

The message is ‘Football is nothing without fans’ and the quote is attributed to Manchester Utd Legend Matt Busby. Celtic fans have heard this plenty of times before but it was the late great Jock Stein who said those immortal words.

This led to a barrage of Celtic fans attributing quotes to Matt Busby under the post, even our own social media man couldn’t resist! Have a look.

We have no doubt the Manchester Utd man said it at some point during his career but most people in Scotland do attribute the ‘Football without the fans, is nothing’ saying to the former Celtic manager; it’s even printed on his statue outside Celtic Park.
