Moussa Snubs Rodgers

If you know what went down between these two at Celtic you won’t be surprised to learn that Moussa Dembele’s camp have told The Transfer Podcast with Duncan Castles that the French striker is not interested in a move to Leicester City this summer.

Moussa’s future is very much up in the air but if he does head to England when the window opens, it won’t be to reunite with his old Celtic boss.

When Dembele wanted his move to Lyon it appeared like he was acting out and at the time Rodgers framed it as such. The player went onto social media to force through a move and he got it in the final days of the window. Moussa then posted a variety of tweets, one which stated ‘Be careful who you call your leader’.

The striker was redeemed in many Celtic supporters eyes when Brendan Rodgers did a midnight flit to Leicester and it became clear, Rodgers questioning Moussa’s loyalty to the club was at best hypocritical.

Moussa has a good relationship with the supporters now and was on the field on trophy day when we won 8 in a row.

It looks like the hard feelings might still be there for the Lyon striker.
