Neil Lennon and his team will be crowned champions today by the SPFL and deservedly so.
The league is unable to reach its natural conclusion but with thirteen points between them and second, it’s the right call.
We’ve seen Belgium crown Club Brugge Champions and France do the same with PSG.
As we get set to toast the nine in row champions — we want to remind everyone the pressure Celtic and in particular, Neil Lennon was under at the start of this season.
Neil came in at the tail end of last season and steadied the ship but he wasn’t too many supporters first choice for a permanent boss. Put on top of that, some of the media in this country pile on the pressure on a daily and weekly basis — it was a brave and bold decision by Neil.
We’re reminded of one audio clip above all else at the moment when it came to Neil Lennon being appointed the permanent Celtic boss. Ewan Cameron, Clyde two DJ, filling in on superscoreboard at the start of the season told the audience that a novice manager across the city would stop him from winning the title and furthermore would be out of a job by Christmas.
