Tonight will be Darrell Currie and BT Sports last ever Scottish Football Extra with the BT Sports Scottish football TV deal at an end.
Sky Sports won the rights to broadcast Scottish football for the next five seasons with BT not putting up the cash to continue to air our game. BT have been showing games since 2016 and have been great value.
BT Sports, on the whole, have gave us a glimpse of what proper Scottish football coverage looks like. Lively debate with plenty of respect and time on our product.
Compare and contrast to Sky Sports who’s pundits get constantly slammed for their very below average opinions. Kris Boyd and Kris Commons not even coming close to the likes of Chris Sutton and Michael Stewart.
The coverage of our game will suffer when Sky Sports is no longer compared to BT Sports.
Tonight will be their last broadcast of Scottish football Extra and as always since this lockdown, it will come from the pundits home.
Really not sure when we’ll do this again or indeed if it’ll ever be done quite like this again… but today on @btsportfootball at 5.30pm it’s our last Scottish Football Extra. We look back on some memorable moments + discuss the current issues.
