In 2020, Celtic are heading for ten in a row but as we all know in the 90s we were a shadow of the club we are currently. In-fighting in the board, horrible finances and bad appointments being made.
The club nearly went under in 1994 had it not been for the Celts for change along with Fergus McCann.
Lou Macari was a man sacked by Fergus early on in his run as Celtic chairman. Macari was the last appointment by the old board and the budget he had to try and be competitive wasn’t there.
One fan looking back at the former manager’s time at the club threw up some old memories but a lot of supporters who lived through it weren’t buying the excuses for Macari’s ill-fated time at the club
Wee Louie arrives in 1993 as new Celtic manager. This was was last throw of dice from beleaguered old board. Their hope was that he could turn club around on shoestring budget. Muggleton, Biggins, Falconer and Martin. Still, he did give @SimonDonnelly13 his debut so credit there. pic.twitter.com/plCehL2lKg

It would only be in 1998 when Celtic would emerge as a force again and stop Rangers from breaking the Lisbon lions record of nine in a row.
Now we sit here so many years later and it could be Celtic breaking the lions record.
