We haven’t delivered much in the way of injury updates as we would usually do throughout the football season. With no football, there’s no weekly press conferences or even the need for updates on the whole.
However, there is one bhoy who has declared himself fit after a season riddled with injury. Mikey Johnston took part in an Instagram takeover with the official Celtic account, answering questions from supporters. One of the questions was about his injury and the tricky midfielder was happy to say he is now in a position to get back to training when Celtic are allowed.
“Injury is fine now” Mikey told supporters on Instagram. Rehab wasn’t ideal with everything that’s gone on, but I’ve done everything I possibly can to come back stronger.”
Mikey managed 21 appearances this term, scoring six goals with another six assists under his belt.
The winger has the potential to be a star but injury keeps hampering his progress. Hopefully, when the bhoys get back onto the field he can make a sustained impression on the team. There’s no doubt Mikey can terrorise defenders when he’s on his game.
