DAMIEN DUFF has been at Celtic for over a year at this point but the Irishman looks certain to leave the club in the next six months to join up as a coach with the Irish national side as reported by the Evening Times
When the move was announced, it was confirmed Damien would split his time between Celtic and Ireland but when the International scene kicks off again – Duff is expected to leave the club full time.
This would leave a hole in Celtic’s coaching team. Neil Lennon has worked with John Kennedy and Damien Duff since returning to the club and the Celtic manager will likely want to bring someone if Damien does go.
That’s why Henrik Larsson’s comments on returning to Scottish football caught out eye this week.
Henrik is looking to get back into football, and although the Swede’s main desire is to be a manager again – a return to Celtic could be a top move for both Henrik and the club.
It all depends on what Neil Lennon is looking for. The other option would be Johan Mjallby – Neil’s assistant during his first spell as manager of the club.
Right now, we are all focused on getting back to the football but it’s important these details aren’t left behind.
