THE SPFL and SFA have appointed SIX sub-groups tasked with looking at any possible way the football season can be saved and played out before the August UEFA deadline.
Right now, the league has up until May 25th to come up with a plan and put it in place for UEFA’s approval. By that day, the league must declare they are ready to play out their season or they are ready to call it as it stands.
However, every attempt is being made to try and bring football back.
The sub-groups set up by the SFA and SPFL look at a wide array of obstacles facing our game and how we can overcome them.
Prominent members of the groups come from clubs across the board – including Celtic.
Physio Tim Williamson is in the medical and player welfare group. Parkhead commercial director Adrian Filby is part of the stadium operations group and supporters welfare. Celtic’s multimedia head Kerry Keenan is part of the media and innovation group. Lastly, Micheal Nicholson is in the regulations subgroup.
They will be tasked with looking to pave a way for the game to come back alongside their counterparts, government officials and Police Scotland as cited by SunSport.
