Latest – Belgian League Set to Declare Champions and Halt Current Season

The Belgian Pro League are set to call a halt to their season and crown champions in what would be the first major move by a European League during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Club Brugge are currently fifteen points clear at the top and with the game not being able to restart until the second half of the year at the earliest, it appears Belgian officials have made the important decision.

It’s also claimed there will be a league restructure with no relegation this season. Something which has been floated in Scotland over the past month.

Celtic are thirteen points clear at the top of the table and are closing in on their ninth consecutive title. You have had every man, woman and dog who support The Rangers screaming for null and void because their team failed to stay close enough to their Glasgow rivals for declaring Celtic the champions to be an issue.

If the Belgian League confirm this stance in the coming hours and days, there could be more leagues set to follow!
