CHRIS SUTTON responded to the Scottish Government’s view they will look to cancel large gatherings AFTER the weekend.
With the Glasgow Derby on Sunday and the coronavirus spread getting worse in the UK, there was an expectation this game would 100% be played behind closed doors.
The UK Government are in an emergency COBRA meeting while the SNP have been spelling out their plans on social media.
FM: "Mass gatherings require to be policed, to have mass ambulance cover, and at a time when we need to be reducing the pressures on these frontline workers in order to free them up for the challenge ahead, I do think it is inappropriate that we continue as normal." #FMQs

This means the government are likely to ban gatherings of over 500 people from Monday BUT will happily see an event with over 50k, 24 hours prior.
It’s beyond belief that the government have taken this stane and Chris Sutton didn’t hold back on the decision.

The Scottish government are providing no opposition to the game going ahead or being played behind closed doors. There’s no word as of yet it the UK Government could intervene or the SFA would look to the health of the supporters.
